WORD
Read:
Our Core Text for Today:
Acts 9:10
Now there was a certain FOLLOWER of Jesus at Damascus named Ananias (God has shown mercy). The Lord called to him in a vision, “Ananias!” “Here I am, Lord,” he answered.
Acts 9:17
So Ananias went and entered the house. He laid his hands on Saul and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus … has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
Acts 9:18
Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again.
Talk in your Connect Group about the following:
Just like Ananias, we are also called to do certain tasks for God. God gives us His Holy Spirit so that we can accomplish these tasks. We are called to make a difference. A Ripple Effect is caused. Ananias’ obedience changed Saul into Paul. Paul preached to the whole earth about God. The New Testament was written, and Paul plays a major role in the books of the New Testament.
This Ripple Effect has not stopped. God is still calling us to accomplish certain tasks, just like Ananias. He asks us to do work that can also change the future of people around us.
Reread today’s texts and talk about them:
• What do you think God is asking you to do on His behalf here on earth?
• Have you also had a Saul to Paul moment in your life? Talk about this?
