1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV) And now these three remain: faith, hope and love …

Hebrew 11:1 (AMP) Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

Heb 11:3 (NLT) By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.

Faith (Pistis) faithfulness; belief; trust; with an implication that action based on that trust may follow.

The Faith of the Centurion Luke 7:1-10

Luke 7:2-3 (NIV) There a centurion’s servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. So when he heard about Jesus….

Luke 7:1 (NIV) When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people who were listening, he entered Capernaum.

Luke 6:45 (NIV) … For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

Luke 6:46-48 (NIV) “So why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord!’ when you don’t do what I say? I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built.

Romans 10:17 (NKJV) So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

1 John 5:4 (AMP) For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world—our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God].
