Proverbs 29:25
1.We struggle with pride.
2. We fear people more than we fear God.
Psalm 118:6 says, “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (AMP)
3.Recognize that rejection does not define you.
“I have come so you may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10
4. Fear of rejection only has the power you give it.
1 Corinthians 15:43
it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;
5. Remember that God is your refuge.
Psalm 9:9 The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,a refuge in times of trouble.
Psalm 34:8 Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!
6. Consider it a learning opportunity.
Psalm 51:6 “Surely You desire truth in the inmost being; You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.”
1) SAY “YES” TO PLEASING GOD.
But Jehoshaphat also said to the king of Israel, “First seek the counsel of the LORD.”
1 Kings 22:5
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33
2) SAY “NO” TO PLEASING PEOPLE.
Who are you that you fear mortal men, the sons of men, who are but grass, that you forget the LORD your Maker… Isaiah 51:12b-13a
