1 Peter 3:15 “Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give reason for the hope you have…”

2 Peter 1:16-21: “We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. For he received honour and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the majestic glory saying “this is my son, whom I love, with him I am well pleased”. We ourselves heard the voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain. And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to the light shinning in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. Above all you must understand that no prophesy of scripture came about by the prophets own interpretation. For prophesy never had its own origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

Luke 1: 1-4: “Many people have set out to write accounts about the events that have been fulfilled among us. They used the eyewitness reports circulating among us from the early disciples.[a] Having carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I also have decided to write an accurate account for you, most honourable Theophilus, so you can be certain of the truth of everything you were taught.

1 John 1: 1-3:  We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning,[a] whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life. This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was revealed to us. We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us.”

1 Corinthians 15: 5-8: He was seen by Peter[a] and then by the Twelve. After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers[b] at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. Then he was seen by James and later by all the apostles. Last of all, as though I had been born at the wrong time, I also saw him.

Psalm 22: 12-14 “Many bulls surround me, strong bulls of Bashan encircle me. Roaring lions tearing their prey open their mouths wide open against me. I am poured out like water and my bones are out of joint.”

Psalm 22: 15 “My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth, you lay me in the dust of death.”

Psalm 22: 16 “Dogs have surrounded me, a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet.”

Psalm 22: 17 “I can count all of my bones, people stare and gloat over me.”

Psalm 22: 18 “They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.”
