The Most Important Thing – Part 3

Connect group:● Choose ONE NIGHT a week to hold your connect group

● Ask each member of your connect group to bring their Bible.

● If you want, you can also take communion together.

1. Ice breaker:    Choose one of the following topics and talk about it:a) What do the words “Love people” mean to you? b) Why do we get excited when we GIVE Love to others?

2. Prayer: Open with prayer.  

3. Read: Our Core Text for Today: Matt 28:19-20 (NIV) Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” 

4. Talk in your Connect Group about the following: Love God, Love PeopleEvangelism and DiscipleshipLove GIVES. Because God loved us so much, He gave. God gave His Son, His best and perfect sacrifice for us. Because Christ GAVE Himself out of Love, we must also GIVE ourselves. The best way to GIVE yourself is to be involved in Evangelism and Discipleship. Evangelism and Discipleship are tasks that each of us performs in and with Love. These tasks cause us to GIVE of ourselves. This selfless gift that we give causes other people to come to faith in God and serve Him. Our gift of GIVING becomes an act of love, just as Jesus’ crucifixion was an act of love. Evangelism and Discipleship are always done in and with love. How can your Connection Group perform more Evangelism tasks this year? Think of ideas on how you can reach out together in love with the people around you. Also, think about how you can reach out more in love with the people around you. What will Discipleship look like for your Connection Group this year? How can each person disciple the people around them better? Reread today’s texts and talk about them: • What does Evangelism mean? • What does Discipleship mean? • Why do we need to be part of Evangelism and Discipleship?
